00 Hourly Location Essex, MD Job Type Part-Time Staff Job Number 2024-327 Division Instruction Department Dean of Continuing Education Office Opening Date 04/22/2024 Class Description The purpose of this class is to provide assistance and support to instructors and counselors in the Kids@CCBC Youth Program.
All hours are during the day, no night shift or weekend work required.
The Community College of Baltimore County operates youth summer half-day classes for students aged 7 to 17 at both CCBC Essex and Owings Mills campuses.
One Instructional Aide will be hired for each location Minimum Requirements High School Diploma/GED, current college student preferred.
Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
Candidates are required to successfully pass a background investigation, to include fingerprinting.
A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a youth camp setting or school-based group activity.
Class Specific Essential Duties Lead youth participants through all organized activities.
Participate directly with youth participants in all class activities.
Ensure the safe travel of participants to and from all activities.
Turn in participant attendance sheets and regularly monitor group attendance daily.
Assist instructors in implementing class activities.
Assist in the maintenance of the cleanliness, safety, and order of daily activities.
Be available to help students as needed.
Perform administrative duties as required.
Understand and follow all program rules, regulations and safety procedures.

Provide guidance and support for Summer Youth Employment workers as needed.
